Girbau once again demonstrated its commitment to being present in this year’s Hostelco Barcelona (October 20th-23rd). The group arrived in Barcelona with the innovations it had presented the previous week at Expodetergo (Milan).
Energy efficiency, the extensive product range and technical and commercial closeness were the three core aspects that Girbau projected from its stand.
Visitors inquired after product innovations such as the new PC80 flatwork ironer, the DRB feeder, the new RMS/RMG series range of washing machines, the HS6024 washing machine, the ST-1300 dryer and all the innovations aimed at the vended sector, which benefit both end users and the owners of self service laundries.
For the first time in a trade fair, Girbau launched and promoted a washing machine component. With the launch of the Hidrodrain drain valve, Girbau aims to raise customer awareness of the importance of opting for original Girbau spare due to their guarantee, reliability and saving in incidents in the laundry.
A 1965 washing machine, the most veteran Girbau in Spain in operation
In addition, at Hostelco 2014 Girbau presented the awards for the "We’re looking for the most veteran in Spain" promotion, which aimed to locate the oldest washing machine in operation.
The winner was an I-60 model washing machine from 1965 which is currently operational in the Galicia County Council’s Centro Calvo Sotelo in La Coruña. The laundry’s manager won the prize of an HS6023 washing machine, a night’s stay for two people at a hotel in Barcelona, as well as a visit to Girbau’s headquarters in Vic and a sightseeing tour of the city.
Girbau’s Country Manager in Spain, Juan Ruiz, valued the campaign very positively. "We have achieved our goal: to show the trust that customers have placed in Girbau for the last 50 years and reward them for helping us to grow along with them." In addition, it has highlighted one of the features of our washing machines, their sturdiness and durability", assures Ruiz.
