The Second Cuba Convention, organised by the Girbau Group’s subsidiary in the country, gathered together around a hundred participants from different areas of the Cuban economy at the Hotel Occidental Miramar. The event included a celebration of the Havana based subsidiary’s 20 years of presence in the Caribbean.
During the convention, attendees shared their experiences of using the Girbau equipment in health facilities and hotels, of implementing comprehensive laundry projects and of general aspects of fabric sanitising processes. They were also able to discover the group’s latest products, such as the new ED series of dryers, MG washer extractors and PB/PBP ironers; new products that stand out due to their greater efficiency, lower energy consumption and the development of technologies that are more environmentally friendly.
The convention provided an opportunity to review Girbau’s experience on the island since its first arrival (in 1976, when it began marketing machines) up to the present day. The subsidiary currently has 9 batch washers and more than 300 hotel facilities equipped with Girbau machinery. Its main goals in the short to medium term are to manufacture solutions tailored to its clients, and to grow together.
